Working Expierence

1989.7-92.8 Resident physician, Nankou Railway Hospital, Beijing.

1992.9-95.7 Assistant of Pro. Gao Xuemin, BUCM.

1995.9-1998.4 Lecturer of BUCM, Department of CCHM Advisor to undergraduate students.

1998.4-1999.2. Invited lecturer in Norway (Norwegian University of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture). Subjects taught in English were basic theory of TCM, diagnostics of TCM, Traditional Chinese Materia Medica, prescriptions of TCM, internal medicine of TCM.

1999.3-1999.6. Invited lecturer in Sweden (SAM School, Branch of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine). Subjects taught in English were basic theory of TCM and diagnostic of TCM.

2000.4-2001.4. Invited lecturer and doctor in England (London college of TCM). Subjects taught in English were basic theory of TCM and diagnostic of TCM.

2008.9-08.11 Invited lecturer in Singapore (Nanyang Technological University).

2009.3-14.4 Party branch secretary, associate dean (for teaching), International School, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine.

2009.8-now Professor in TCM, Department of Chinese Materia Medica, School of Pre-clinical Medicine, BUCM. Chief physician.

Achievment in scientific research

In charge of or participated in 30 national, ministerial, municipal or university scientific researches, including bilingual teaching of Chinese Materia Medica, treating diabetes with Chinese medicine, and TCM English translation, such as preliminary design and development of Beijing Digital Museum of Chinese Medicine in English, which awarded a science and technology award of BUCM in 2008, and the World Summit Award in 2011.Major research subjects include: research on imperial medicine of China, study on pharmaceutical exchange history of China and foreign countries, research on treatment of diabetes with TCM, “theoretical Studies on Factors Contributing to the Essentialization of Actions and Indications of Single Herb”, study on the Properties of Herbal Medicine theoretically and experimentally, research on the Clinical Experiences of 100 celebrated Clinicians, study on chemical compounds and pharmacological functions of Cornus officinalis Sieb.et Zucc, study on chemical compounds and pharmacological functions of Astragalus complanatus R.Br. responsible for the overall design and implementation of "brand courses taught in English for international students studying in China executed by the Ministry of Education". Yielded more than 50 English and Chinese textbooks, and academic papers, such as being the editor-in-chief of the English version of the textbook Chinese Materia Medica.
